DC charging hub for Cleantech Park Arnhem

For Zero Emission phase 1, Green Fellows reviewed the concept design for a new DC charging hub. The design includes ten 400 kW charging points for trucks and sixteen charging points for mobile battery systems, including two connections for battery containers. We specified the technical requirements, converted them into a verifiable RFQ and supported Cleantech Park Arnhem during the market enquiry, bid evaluation and supplier selection.

By assessing charging hardware, installation, system integration, maintenance and operation as one package, we could compare the offers technically and financially. This provided Cleantech Park Arnhem with a substantiated supplier selection based on price, technology, management and operation.

DC charging hub for Woodpacker in Drachten

Woodpacker is developing a commercially operated charging and parking facility in Drachten for logistics, construction and infrastructure companies. Green Fellows performed the quick scan, prepared the reference design and RFQ and supported the supplier selection. Construction of phase 1 with eight charging bays has started. Phase 2 adds eight charging bays, bringing the total to sixteen.

The phased design combines secure overnight parking and charging with additional higher-power daytime charging. By considering site layout, electrical infrastructure, civil works, maintenance and operation together, Woodpacker can start in a controlled manner and expand later without redesigning the facility.

Responsibility framework for Kersten Techniek

Kersten Techniek works on a wide range of energy and electrification projects. Green Fellows supports the development of a clear framework for roles, authorities and responsibility for electrical installations between Kersten, its clients and existing responsible persons.

The result is a practical structure in which responsibilities and boundaries are clearly defined. This allows Kersten to deliver projects safely within its own scope, with clear agreements with clients and other parties responsible for electrical installations.

Charging strategy for zero-emission maintenance of the A44 for Rijkswaterstaat

Green Fellows advised Rijkswaterstaat on a charging strategy so that three bridges along the A44 could be maintained without operational emissions.

Using a power profile for each construction phase, we developed a targeted charging recommendation. This enabled the required grid connection for the charging facility to be requested on time and allowed the bridges to be maintained without operational emissions.

Guideline for the safe use of electric construction equipment with Bouwend Nederland

Bouwend Nederland commissioned Green Fellows to develop a guideline for the safe use of electric construction equipment. We identified the relevant stakeholders and coordinated a core team and advisory group to prepare the first version of the guideline.

We subsequently involved KOMAT, Rijkswaterstaat and other stakeholders.

A final guideline for use throughout the Netherlands. This is a first concrete step towards a zero-emission and safe construction sector.

Charging infrastructure for the Port of Rotterdam Authority

In the Port of Rotterdam, Green Fellows supported a substantial step forward in electric mobility.

Using our multi-criteria analysis, we developed six scenarios for the design and construction of a charging facility for electric passenger transport within the port. We advised on the facility design and supported the market enquiry for suitable partners.

We always conduct this process as objectively as possible. We do not prescribe brands, but specify the technology that best fits the application.

We also prepared a detailed implementation plan for the charging facility.

A clear comparison of the preferred options, based on concrete facts and findings rather than assumptions. This provides a substantiated basis for a scalable design.

This supports the Port of Rotterdam Authority’s first step towards zero-emission operations.

Community development with Connectr

Connectr is an innovation hub for new energy, where ideas and partnerships accelerate the energy transition.

Together with Connectr, we established two communities: Heavy Duty Charging and Temporary Energy Systems.

These networks bring companies and knowledge institutions together to address and develop complex energy and mobility topics.

The Heavy Duty Charging Community provides a platform where logistics professionals and technology developers collaborate on heavy-duty electric vehicles and the associated charging infrastructure. Monthly meetings at the Connectr Shared Office support knowledge exchange, network development and the joint development of demonstration projects.
 
The Temporary Energy Systems Community focuses on electrifying construction sites. It brings construction companies, energy experts and technology suppliers together to develop sustainable temporary energy solutions, from electric construction equipment to mobile energy storage systems.

We also organised masterclasses, consortia and demonstration projects that translated these discussions into concrete steps.

Hydrogen refuelling station for Eemshaven

We advised Green Planet on the development of a hydrogen refuelling station in Eemshaven. The station receives hydrogen from three different sources, after which it is purified and brought to the required pressure.

The project is still under construction and will support a more resilient energy supply in Eemshaven.
